The club world first met Toronto native John O, a.k.a. Diamond Rings with his defining “I’m Just Me” from his sophomore LP Free Dimensional. We now get the rebellious, romantic side of the blonde coiffed, electro-pop, punkster with “Runaway Love”. The single’s screw it – no one understands us – all we need is each other attitude is pure 50′s pop ala Tommy James And The Shondells. It’s do-wop harmonies with a gnarly, punk backbone in the grand tradition of DIY songwriting where simple is what gets you humming the tune in your sleep. On the remixes, Scottish producer Unicorn Kid adds the electro house sparkle while Astralwerks alumni, Australia’s Gold Fields goes for an easy breezy mid tempo groove and the Stars remix takes the beat big and chunky. Continuing her streak of dancefloor and club chart domination, Ono enlists EDM A lister Dave Audé to co-write and produce her new single “Hold Me”. Whereas her previous club hits have been star-studded, remix reworkings of Yoko’s classic material, the new song written by Yoko and Dave, is tailor-made for dancefloors, filled with Yoko’s vivid, lyrical imagery, guided by the Audé midas touch for a solid, contemporary club anthem. The single also amazingly marks one of the rare instances that Yoko has co-written with anyone other than John and Sean Lennon placing Audé in a unique echelon of elite pop culture. The package features remixes by longtime Ono contributor, the legendary Ralphi Rosario, Boston’s deep progressive maestro Emjae and Dave Audé’s own, full-throttle, up-front, club takes.

Allies frontman, singer/songwriter/producer Brian Suarez, delicately melds his dreamy synth-pop with percolating, early 90′s electro house that is all 21st century cool. From the acclaimed 4 cut Scavenger EP, comes a potent, back to the future collection of remixes of the infectious title track ready to rock underground soirees and big club nights alike. The deep, Detroit tech-house Original Extended has been deftly manipulated by today’s best and brightest. Brooklyn based, indie legend Tommie Sunshine coupled with multi-genre, electronic producer Downlow’d for a crankin’, nu-rave stomper of big proportions. After stints fronting major dance bands like Groove Armada and Sneaker Pimps, Sophia Lolley teamed up with Geoff Hornsby as punk/disco/pop duo I Like It Electric. We loved Sophia’s droll delivery in “Do You Want To Or Not” that made waves on the international dance scene for Brooklyn based Peace Bisquit (Ultra Naté, Cazwell, Chris Willis, The Ones). Sophia’s brand new solo outing “Da Bop” is a straightforward cover of the jaunty, be-bop, European hit by Russia’s WTF! with English lyrics by Sophia. On the flip is “Bad Boy” her sexy, disco-lounge twirl. Both singles are produced by UK’s Count De Money with Extended, Main and Instrumentals. With his reputation as a “dancers dj” Tommy Bones has been a global force as tastemaker dj and producer for 20 years. Lydia Rhodes rose to international acclaim in the 90′s with her string of massively successful club anthems (many of which were remixed and championed by longtime friend/mentor Junior Vasquez): “DJ Give Me That Funky Bass”, “Live It Cool (Just Do It)”, “Away”, “Until The Moment” and “Dreams”. Together they’ve crafted a deep, Afro-tech, house groove that conjures up the very best moments of after-hours, downtown clubbing. All the elements wash over you from the tribal drums and fat bassline to the spicy marimbas and Lydia’s demure divaness. House music pioneer Eric Kupper turns in sexy and sophisticated mixes with a nod to the Def Mix classics of Frankie Knuckles and David Morales. Germany’s Terry Lee Brown Jr. brings the bounce with his own velvety tech-house swagger. When brothers Jared and Shannon Leto started Thirty Seconds To Mars in 1998 it was really just a family project. With the inclusion of bassist Tomo Miličević, they’ve recorded 3 albums, sold over 5 million records and are one of the biggest, touring, alternative rock bands worldwide. On tour, drummer Shannon Leto regularly steps outside of the rock world to feed his passion for more electronically inclined beatage by hosting post concert, after-hours parties to showcase his tightly percussive, progressive leaning beats. His first officially released remix for Thirty Seconds To Mars marries the sexy, rock n roll drama of Jared’s vocals with a dark and pounding take on “Night Of The Hunter” from their 3rd LP This Is War. After signing and mentoring, Australian duo Pnau, also known for their breakthrough side project Empire Of The Sun, Elton John gave them high level access to his early 70′s catalog. Instead of remixing the obvious hits, Pnau artfully pieced together snippets of the songs to create the 8 brilliant new pop nuggets, with the same spark and originality as Elton’s classics, for the Good Morning To The Night LP. The title track combines eight of Elton’s lesser-known pieces morphed into a euphoric club anthem that’s been a European club hit since it’s debut on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and was one of the 5 official songs of the London Summer Olympics. The indelible hook washes over you with warm synths on the original and Cahill, Siege and Fred Falke reinforce the club status with peak energy, house and electronic remixes.
